Key Organizational & Goals Objectives

Key Organizational Goals & Objectives

Our goal is to be a game changer within the Harlem, NY community by establishing ourselves as a safe haven, a “creative hub” in the community whereby we use various forms of artistic expression within the creative arts that will directly impact the lives of young people and transform them personally and professionally.

Our Approach

GO HARD DANCE

GO HARD DANCE (SEASON 4-10 MONTH RECITAL PROGRAM):

The goal is to showcase the entrepreneurial spirit, fellowship and establish lasting bonds for our youth through DANCE for children, teens and adults.

Go Hard Dance will put on a performance/recital at Symphony Space Theater on 95th Street & Broadway (June, 2023) displaying all the techniques and skills they’ve learned during their 10 months of class instruction (every Wednesday (evenings) and Saturdays (9am-5pm)).  The entire staff and our dancers and families receives assignments to help with the production of the show to promote a sense of pride and accomplishment by working as a team.

Hands On Community Involvement

Hands on community involvement is a must! The children will organize and participate in various workshops designed to educate them on economic/wealth empowerment & the power of social justice initiatives to help our community thrive. Here’s a few upcoming initiatives for end of 2022

Open Closet

Workshops: “Open Closet”  & “Urban Stork” – upcoming initiatives whereby we ask the community to donate gently used clothing and baby pampers to the studio so that we can have our student body deliver them to shelters we’ve established partnerships with.

Silver Sneakers

Workshop: “Silver Sneakers” – partnership with H.A.S. (Harlem Advocates for Seniors) designed to host a summit between the community youth and our elders/seniors in engaging conversation to help “bridge the gap” between each generation and enlighten, engage and educate each other on education, team activities and social topics.

Success Criteria

Evaluation requirements such as but not limited to; dancer skillset evaluations, regular attendance from weekly training classes and monthly social initiatives for kids and adults, parent-choreographer meetings (November 2022 & March 2023), family fundraising efforts (January 2023), feedback/testimonials from our outside partnerships with other organizations, and tickets sales of 754 seat theater for June 2023 performance are designed to serve as a catalyst for us to measure the success of our dance program, workshops and monthly community social initiatives.
